Who we are
Zart Publishing & Distribution (unified national number 7010438310), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We process your data under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law and its regulations, and this policy forms part of the user agreement.
What we collect
- Contact and account data: name, email, mobile, country and city, and sign-in details.
- Book data: the manuscript, cover and metadata, and what is needed to prove publishing rights.
- Payout and billing data: what we need to pay you and issue invoices. Card details are handled by the payment provider and never stored by us.
- Usage data: pages visited and device type, through our own first-party measurement and the cookies you agree to.
How we use it
- Providing the service: review, editing, design, publishing, reports and payouts.
- Contacting you about your order and your book.
- Security, fraud prevention and legal compliance.
- Improving the site and service with aggregate data.
- Marketing messages only with your separate consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
Only as far as needed, with:
- Reading platforms and distribution partners, some outside Saudi Arabia, for publishing, verification and payouts (your name, book data and cover).
- Contracted service providers (editing, design, hosting and payments) bound by confidentiality.
- Government authorities on lawful request, including the content clearance authority.
We never sell your data or share it with advertisers, except what is needed to measure our ads with the advertising platforms we use, as described in «Ad measurement».
Ad measurement
We use Google Tag Manager and the tags of the advertising platforms we advertise on (such as Google and Meta) to learn which of our ads bring authors to us. These tags set cookies and record your page visits and your sign-up or payment.
- When you create an account or pay an invoice, we may send these platforms a hashed copy of your email (a SHA-256 hash computed in your browser); the email itself is never sent. The platform uses it to match the sign-up or payment to the ad click that brought you to us, for ad measurement only.
- We keep with your account how you reached the website: the ad click identifier, campaign tags and landing page.
- We do not sell this data or use it for anything other than measuring our ads. To object, email us, block cookies in your browser, or change the ad settings in your accounts on these platforms.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account exists, and book files and financial records for the period the law requires, then delete or anonymise them.
Your rights
- Access your data and get a copy of it.
- Correct or update it.
- Ask for it to be destroyed, subject to legal exceptions.
- Withdraw consent to marketing messages at any time.

Security
We use encrypted connections, limit data access to the team members who need it, and keep secure backups of your files.
